Luke Mizzi is an associate in the Investment Services department of the firm. He graduated from the University of Malta with a Doctor of Laws in 2016 following the successful submission of his doctoral thesis entitled ‘Professional Secrecy and Confidentiality in the Context of Financial Crime.’ Luke joined the firm as a trainee in 2014, becoming an Junior Associate in 2016.
Luke’s main areas of practice include the licensing of Collective Investments Schemes (UCITS, PIFs and AIFs) and Investment Services Providers, as well as compliance, governance, restructuring and winding-up of such entities.
Luke is also part of the internal Blockchain Committee at the Firm which handles all legal matters related to cryptocurrency, Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs) and distributed ledger technology projects.
