Speaker: Svilena Vaklinova

Ms Svilena Vaklinova is the Indirect Tax Manager within the Tax Team of BDO Malta. Her main area of practice is managing ongoing VAT compliance matters for clients operating in various industries such as the gaming, insurance, technology and other industries. Her responsibilities require her to liaise with the Authorities in respect of any VAT related requests or inspections. Svilena is also extensively involved in VAT advisory work. Svilena holds a Bachelor Degree in Economy of Commerce from the University of National and World Economy, Bulgaria. Soon after graduation she commenced her professional path as an accountant in a local firm to subsequently join BDO Malta as a VAT specialist. Svilena is now furthering her studies by obtaining a Master Degree in Accounting and Control.
